The following squence shows two circles being used, a 2-rod circle to indicate the landing area and a 3-rod circle around the flag.
Depending on what club you´re using, place the small circle where you want to land the ball.
This helps to develop consistent ball flight and trajectory.
Within a short time your understanding of distance control and reading of greens will improve.
One of the most common faults in chipping technique is the "flipping" or "scooping" of the hands. To help correct this, place a rod down the hole in the grip allowing it to protrude as seen in the picture below.
When practicing this exercise the rod should not make contact with the body on the movement through the ball.
